Accessibility statement.

Island Creek is committed to making the website — and the campground — usable by everyone.

Effective: June 13, 2026 · Last updated: June 13, 2026

Our commitment

This website is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. We use semantic HTML, AA-rated color contrast, keyboard-navigable controls, screen-reader-friendly markup, focus-visible outlines, and a "skip to content" link on every page.

Specific accessibility features

  • All images have alt text descriptions (placeholder slots are labeled with their intended subject during construction)
  • Forms use semantic labels and clear error messaging
  • The sticky booking widget can be collapsed and dismissed with the keyboard
  • Color is never the sole indicator of meaning — every color cue has a text or icon companion
  • Text-to-background contrast is AA-rated (cypress on cream is 9.4:1)
  • The site is responsive and usable at 200% browser zoom
  • Animations respect prefers-reduced-motion

Campground accessibility

The park is being built with the following accessibility considerations:

  • ADA-accessible pull-through RV sites with paved pads and full hookups
  • ADA-accessible cabin [CONFIRM WITH DOUG — final count]
  • ADA-compliant bathhouse with roll-in shower
  • Wide, level paths between key amenities (pool, store, pavilion, dog yard)
  • Accessible pool entry (zero-entry side or pool lift) [CONFIRM]
  • Designated accessible parking near the camp store and pavilion

Service animals

Service animals are welcome anywhere in the park, including the pool deck and inside the camp store (per ADA). See the Pet Policy.
