The rules. Short version: be a good neighbor.
Every campground has rules. Ours are short, specific, and written for the families staying in the next site over — not for an insurance binder.
Quiet hours
10pm to 7am. No generators, loud music, unmuffled engines, or outdoor speakers during quiet hours. We designed the park for families — including ones with kids who go to sleep at 8pm. Daytime music at a reasonable volume is fine.
Speed limit
10 mph everywhere in the park. Kids on bikes, dogs on leash, families on golf carts — it's a small park and there's no reason to be moving fast. We will speak with you about it.
Vehicles & parking
- Two vehicles per site (the rig plus one tow vehicle / car).
- Overflow parking is available near the camp store — no charge.
- No vehicle washing on sites except for a quick rinse on hookup days.
- Park your vehicle so it's off the road and not blocking neighbors.
Guests & day visitors
Day visitors are welcome — they check in at the camp store, get a day pass, and park in the visitor lot. $5 per visitor day pass covers pool access. [CONFIRM WITH DOUG — day pass pricing]. Visitors must leave by 10pm (start of quiet hours).
Fires & grills
- Campfires in the provided fire ring only. No ground fires.
- Buy firewood at the camp store — we ask you don't bring outside wood (spreads pests, especially the Emerald Ash Borer).
- Charcoal and gas grills allowed at your site.
- Always have water or a shovel within reach when a fire is burning.
- [CONFIRM WITH DOUG — fire restrictions during state-mandated burn bans].
Generators
Allowed for RVs during daylight hours (8am–8pm) when not on shore power. No generators during quiet hours, ever.
Pool rules
- Pool hours: 9am–9pm (lifeguard hours posted at the gate).
- Children under 14 must have a responsible adult with them.
- No glass on the pool deck. Cans or plastic only.
- No pets on the deck (NC health code).
- Standard swim attire — no cutoffs that shed lint.
- Splash pad operating hours posted at the gate, generally 10am–8pm.
Kids in the park
The park is designed to be safe for kids to roam. We ask:
- Kids under 12 supervised at the pool, splash pad, and pickleball courts.
- Bikes must have lights after dusk.
- Playground closes at dusk.
- Parents are responsible for kids' behavior, full stop.
Alcohol
Adults can drink at their own site, on the pool deck (in cans or plastic), and at the food truck on event nights. NC state law applies. No open containers on park roads or trails. No public intoxication. The park reserves the right to ask anyone being disruptive to wrap it up.
Smoking
Allowed at your own site, away from the doors of cabins or buildings. Not allowed in cabin interiors, pool deck, playground, store, or bathhouses. Please dispose of butts properly — pocket ashtray or your own can. [CONFIRM WITH DOUG — vaping/cannabis policy]
Cancellation
Detailed cancellation policy on the FAQ page and at booking. Short version:
- 14+ days before arrival: full refund minus $25 processing.
- 7–13 days: 50% refund.
- Less than 7 days: no refund.
- Mandatory hurricane evacuation: full refund or rebook credit, your choice.
Photography & video
Personal photos are fine. If you want to do drone photography or a video shoot that includes other guests, please check in with the front desk first. The park reserves marketing rights to general property scenes; we won't use a recognizable photo of a guest without permission.
If something goes wrong
Talk to Doug or the front desk. We'd much rather hear it from you in the moment than read it on a review site after you've left.
